CUSTOM MAGAZINE PROJECT (2021)

Created in the final semester for my print media class, the assignment was to create and print out our own custom magazines. When I first started to tackle this project, I was set on creating a music inspired magazine. I wanted to make sure the branding and aesthetics were obvious that it was a music based magazine. 
 
You can see how I experimented with titles and possible formatting, even from the beginning. I wanted to include the smiley-faced record to tie in with the title of the magazine - "Drop the Stylus". 

The rest of the magazine was formatted and designed with consistency in mind. From the shapes, to the illustrations, I had a clear idea of what I wanted to do and how I wanted it formatted. The project was assembled in Indesign, while other assets were created in Photoshop, Procreate, and Illustrator.
